Changes to SARSTREAM that change what you see, newest first. Each entry links to the page that explains it.

2026-10-06

  • Admins: a Server-pushed drones switch in Settings puts drones whose data comes from a company's server (for example Odin) on the SARTopo map. It is off until you turn it on. See Your agency & settings.
  • Pilots: the Pilot print card is updated — Disconnect now pauses the video. Reprint it.
  • Pilots: a Pause button on the Pilot page stops your video (not the map or photos) until you tap Start stream — it holds through battery swaps. Disconnect while live now pauses too. A stop in Pilot 2's own camera view still restarts by itself. See Pause the video.
  • Pilots: the Pilot page warns when the drone's SD card is nearly full or full — photos stop uploading then. See SD card.
  • Admins: the Mission card lists the mission's drones, with SD card space and · Paused by pilot plus a Resume button. See Drones.
  • Viewers: a paused drone's pane says Paused by pilot instead of Offline. See Watching video.
  • Phones: after the first time, Go Live at the top of the viewer starts in one tap with your last settings (⋮ > Go Live… shows them first). No motion prompt at the start — iPhone users tap Tap for compass. Stop needs two taps, and Go Live again appears at once. Location only waits for a real GPS fix. See Quick start: Phone.
  • Viewers: ⋮ > Sign out / switch agency. See Watching video.
  • Pilots: Link map / Change map replace Connect SARTopo — one Switch this mission's map? question. A second controller with the same drone name streams as name-2. A refused start now says why (Refused by SARSTREAM: …). See During a mission.
  • Body cams: every key works on port 1936 — no need to ask. The setup page shows the address, warns when a name is already live, and says why a camera was refused. See Quick start: Body cam.
  • Admins: Revoke and Release while something streams ask you to type REVOKE. A SARTopo line on the Mission card shows the last push or what is wrong, and Use … again links the last mission's map. Save & test for SARTopo credentials. Rejected camera attempts are listed in words. Your own row on the allow list says (you). See Pilots, keys & feeds and Missions.
  • Admins: the welcome email is now the sign-in link itself (24 hours). See Your agency & settings.
  • Everyone: a paused agency now says paused on every page.

2026-10-04

  • Admins: if a drone or camera is still streaming when you select End mission or New mission, the answer now appears inside the same box — type END there to force it (no browser pop-up). New mission now follows the same rules as End. See End a mission.
  • Admins: name a mission before you start it (Name (optional)), and rename past missions with ✎ in the Missions card. See Missions.
  • Admins: if the mission changed while your page was open, End, rename and Record now refuse with The mission changed while this page was open instead of acting on the wrong mission.
  • Admins: the old Mission Control and Publisher Manager pages are gone — everything is on the admin page.
  • Pilots: only an admin can end a mission. The Pilot page no longer has a "Start NEW Mission" button while a mission is open. A controller that is only switched on (drone off) no longer opens a mission. See During a mission.
  • Everyone: Help links in SARSTREAM: ⋮ > Help in the viewer, a ? on the full map page, Help on the admin page (plus ? next to some controls), and Help links on the sign-in, setup and Go Live pages.

  • Admins: the printed key card shows DJI pilots the Pilot 2 steps and the help address.

  • Pilots: you can now tap Disconnect while streaming, to change the drone name or key — it asks "Stop video?" first (now: it pauses). See Change the drone name or key.

  • Pilots: keys typed with capital letters now work on the Pilot page.
  • Pilots: if your agency's account is paused, the Pilot page and setup page now say so, instead of "name rejected".
  • Viewers: when your access ends, the sign-in page now says why (for example Your link ended when the mission ended).
  • Viewers: past missions now show their SARTopo shapes during replay. See Past missions.
  • Phones: Go Live now also works on most networks that block some internet traffic (many guest Wi-Fi networks).
  • Admins: the Mission emails setting now says exactly who gets an admin link.

2026-10-03 — Help site (draft)

  • Everyone: this help site — quick starts for pilots, admins and viewers, a Something's wrong page, and print cards.
  • Admins: new key words need at least 6 characters. See Pilots, keys & feeds.
  • Admins: expired viewer links are hidden from the Viewer links list.
