Your agency & settings¶
One-time setup and the switches that apply to every mission.
Other admins¶
Admins are people on the Link request allow list with the role admin.
- Add an admin: type their email, choose admin, select Add, and
confirm. Then select Resend: it emails them a sign-in link that works
for 24 hours (also while your agency is still in canary). After that they
sign in at
sarstream.org/admin-link. - Make viewer / Make admin — change someone's role.
- Sign out — signs them out of your agency on every device where they signed in with their email; they stay on the list. Someone who joined with the admin join code stays signed in — change the code to end that.
- Remove — takes them off the list and signs them out the same way.
Your own row says (you). Making yourself a viewer, or removing yourself, warns you first and then signs this page out.
The owner (★) can't be removed or demoted by other admins. Only the owner sees Make owner and can hand that role on. Your agency always keeps at least one admin.
A whole domain (@yourteam.org) can only be a viewer. See
Sharing & mutual aid.
The Settings card¶
Select Settings to open it.
Mission map (SARTopo)¶
If your agency uses SARTopo (CalTopo), link the open mission to your map: choose it in SARTopo map (or type its map ID), set the OP number, and select Save. Drone tracks, photos and clues then go to that map; it applies within seconds, and pilots' controllers follow it. Pilots can link or change the map from their controller too.
Switches¶
| Switch | What it does |
|---|---|
| SARTopo Push | Sends drone tracks, photos and clues to the linked SARTopo map. |
| Server-pushed drones | Also puts drones whose data comes from a company's server (for example Odin) on the SARTopo map. Off until you turn it on. Needs Push on too. |
| Record drone video | Saves drone video for replay. |
| Photo upload | Lets drone photos upload. |
| Mission wrap-up email | Sends the summary to the Mission emails list when a mission ends. |
| Pin new missions' photos on SARTopo | Puts new missions' photos on the SARTopo map by themselves. |
Changes take effect within a minute. Work already started (a recording, a photo upload) finishes. A switch marked (off for the whole system) is turned off by SARSTREAM and can't be turned on here.
These ask first: turning Record drone video off (no drone video is saved in any mission, the open one included, and positions stop going to SARTopo), turning Photo upload off, turning SARTopo Push on or off, and turning on the two public-page switches below.
To make one mission live-only, use Record this mission on the Mission card instead — see Missions.
SARTopo account¶
Your agency's own SARTopo team account: account id, credential id and secret, then Save & test. The line says Saved — connection OK or Saved, but SARTopo refused: … with the reason. New credentials reach pushes within about a minute — no need to turn Push off and on. Test connection checks again without saving. The secret is never shown again after saving. If it says SARSTREAM-managed account, SARSTREAM's own account is used and there is nothing to enter.
Video & photo storage¶
Test connection checks your agency's storage. SARSTREAM sets it up for you — if the test fails, email support@sarstream.org.
Public page and privacy¶
- List this agency on the public SARSTREAM page — shows your agency on
sarstream.orgso people can find your page. Off by default. - Show the mission name on public pages — off by default: the sign-in page says "Mission active" without the name.
Map home¶
Where the map opens when no drone is flying: latitude, longitude and zoom, then Save.
Agency logo¶
Choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP file (up to 1 MB). It shows on your agency's page, the sign-in pages, the admin page and printouts. Remove takes it off.
Mission emails¶
See Missions.
