- Access key
- See Key.
- Admin
- A person who runs missions for an agency: starts and ends them, shares
access, and manages keys. Signs in with an admin link or the admin code.
See Agency admin.
- Admin code
- The agency's 6-digit code that gives admin control. Not for sharing.
- Agency
- Your team on SARSTREAM (for example a county SAR group). Each agency sees
only its own missions, video and people.
- Allow list
- The Link request allow list: addresses (or
@domains) that may
request a sign-in link by email.
- Feed
- One live video source — a drone, a body cam or a phone — shown under its
name. Also called a stream.
- Go Live
- Streaming your phone's camera and location into the open mission, from
the viewer. See Quick start: Phone.
- Join code
- A 6-digit code people enter at
sarstream.org/join. The viewer code
lets them watch; the admin code gives admin control. Both change
when a mission ends.
- Key
- A word your admin creates that lets drones and cameras send video to your
agency. Called the access key on the Pilot page and a publish key
on the admin page. Also part of a camera's streaming address.
- Mission
- One callout. Holds the live video, recordings, drone tracks and photos.
Starts by itself when a drone powers on, a camera streams or a pilot
connects (a controller alone doesn't start one); only an admin ends it,
and ending it cuts off every viewer. See Missions.
- NOT RECORDING
- The mission is live-only: everyone can watch, but nothing is saved.
- Pane
- One video area on the viewer. Phones show 1 or 2, computers up to 4.
- Pilot page
- SARSTREAM's page inside DJI Pilot 2 on the controller, where the pilot
connects with the key and a drone name.
- Replay
- Watching a mission again on the full map page, with the drones' tracks and
recorded video. See The map & replay.
- RTMP
- The streaming method body cams, GoPros and encoders use. Their address
looks like
rtmp://sarstream.org/<key>/<name>.
- SARTopo
- The mapping tool (CalTopo) many SAR teams use. SARSTREAM can send drone
tracks, photos and clues to your team's SARTopo map.
- Viewer
- Anyone watching the video and map. Needs a link or a code — no account.
- Viewer link
- A personal link to watch. It ends when the mission ends (or sooner).
